At Kichler Lighting, we are more than just a lighting company. We're a "bring people together" company. Everything we do, every single day, is with the intention of creating and delivering products that allow people to "see" what matters most to them.
We accomplish this by encouraging forward thinking; building an environment where our team can ask the tough questions, "Why not?" and "What could be?" We believe our dreamers and innovators can change the world. We recognize our organization is at its best when we are blended with different backgrounds and experiences. We believe transparency and teamwork should be an integral part of any inclusive work environment. We want everyone to achieve their goals; we are committed to our team's own development. We are proud of our flexible work environment; we want our team to thrive in a way that works best for them.
Kichler sheds light on what's truly important
Job Overview:
Objective:
The Lead Brand Marketing Strategist is a pivotal member of the brand and digital marketing team at Kichler, formulating coordinated strategies to enhance brand equity among trade and consumer audiences, overseeing all facets of brand marketing initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional colleagues to drive business growth.
The ideal candidate will embody a bold spirit and a fervor for brand development across traditional, digital, and physical landscapes. You will engage closely with internal and external partners to construct brand marketing strategies and tactically execute initiatives that elevate the Kichler brand while also addressing business requirements. You will stay attuned to marketing, industry, consumer, and cultural trends to identify relevant opportunities for ongoing brand advancement. As a team leader, you will also play a significant role in developing and mentoring team members, as well as junior colleagues across the team.
This position merges the art and science of marketing, ensuring creative executions align with business strategy. You will be accountable for developing and supervising key performance indicators as well as providing periodic updates to senior management, with a strong business acumen being a critical success factor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Craft compelling integrated marketing awareness and advocacy through a diverse array of marketing touchpoints, including PR, social media, paid advertising (traditional and digital), product placement, influencers, and industry relationships.
- Lead internal and external teams to implement and optimize initiatives to efficiently drive brand and business growth.
- Collaborate to develop a content marketing strategy and distribution plan to bring the brand strategy to life.
- Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with media, influencers, and content producers.
- Update and deliver brand training presentations for all audiences.
- Work closely with team members, cross-functional, and external colleagues to ensure a consistent brand experience across brand marketing touchpoints.
- Write and edit content for a wide range of communication materials, including press releases, social media content, and website blogs.
- Identify opportunities and collaborate with external organizations to develop strategically relevant and engaging programs to drive collective brand growth across shared audiences.
- Recognize trends and cultural insights relevant to our target audiences to develop compelling campaigns that resonate with our customers and consumers.
- Maintain a deep understanding of Kichler, its businesses, product lines, and value propositions, along with its competitive landscape.
- Establish and lead brand performance metrics, with regular updates to executive leadership.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 7+ years of relevant brand marketing experience across platforms.
- Outstanding communication skills: written, verbal, and live in front of audiences.
- Business insight and the capacity to align brand success with business performance.
- Blend of strategic and analytical thinking, with the ability to pull insights from data and ideally report-out to a range of audiences.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and influence cross-functional teams, incorporating external agencies and internal colleagues.
- Results-oriented, daring approach, able to seamlessly flow between high-level strategy and hands-on execution.
- Track record of success in prioritizing multiple projects and timelines simultaneously.
- Budget development and management experience required.
- Proficient with MS Office applications, media scheduling/monitoring tools (e.g., Sprinklr), and digital content/reporting platforms (e.g., Bazaarvoice, Google Analytics).
