Job Overview

STR is in search of a dedicated professional with experience in Federal Government Property within the Defense (DoD) or Intelligence sectors to become a vital part of our expanding Contracts team.

This position presents exceptional opportunities to oversee property control and logistics management functions for Government, Customer, and STR assets, while acquiring invaluable experience that will enhance your career trajectory. Note: This role is not related to Property Management or Real Estate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure ethical and compliant operations of Government Property in alignment with STR policies, legal, regulatory, and contractual standards.
  • Oversee daily operations and personnel related to Government Property.
  • Administer the life-cycle management of Government Property by adhering to relevant guidelines and company protocols for receiving, tagging, auditing, distribution, storage, inventory, shipping, and disposal.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the Government Property team and Technical staff.
  • Educate STR personnel on Government Property processes, systems, and compliance obligations.
  • Support the professional development of Government Property team members by offering guidance on career paths and opportunities for subject matter expertise.
  • Engage collaboratively and communicate effectively with STR personnel and external partners regularly.
  • Coordinate with the Contracts team on contract closeout processes.
  • Propose, develop, and implement ongoing process enhancements.
  • Participate in special projects as required.
Qualifications
  • Must be a US Citizen with the capability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in Property or Logistics with DoD and Intelligence community clients.
  • Management experience is essential.
  • Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS) is necessary.
  • Experience with Government Property tools and information systems is preferred (e.g., PIEE, WAWF, eTools, AssetWorks, etc.).
  • Certifications from the National Property Management Association (NPMA) or equivalent are preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary to other STR locations.
  • Physical ability to lift 30+ pounds.
  • Capability to read, interpret, and apply Federal regulations and related acquisition policies and guidance.
