Job Title: Environmental Senior Consultant - Air Quality

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Senior Consultant - Air Quality to join our team at Brown and Caldwell. As a key member of our environmental compliance and permitting team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in air quality compliance and permitting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement air quality compliance strategies for industrial and commercial facilities
  • Prepare and review air permit applications, including potential to emit calculations and modeling files
  • Conduct regulatory research and provide expert advice on air emissions regulations
  • Develop technical memorandums to communicate permitting strategies to clients
  • Evaluate applicability of air emissions regulations for specific emission sources
  • Prepare greenhouse gas emissions inventories
  • Conduct site visits to support development of emissions inventories and permit applications
  • Interact and communicate directly with clients and regulators on behalf of Brown and Caldwell
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 15 years' experience in air quality compliance work with progressive responsibilities
  • Clean Air Act permitting (including Title V) and compliance experience required
  • Knowledge of local, State and federal air emissions regulatory framework required
  • Previous experience communicating with clients and regulatory agency staff
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BS Degree in Engineering (Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Material Science) or Science (Atmospheric, Environmental, Meteorological, Chemistry, Toxicology, Data Science) required
  • Ability to execute a project from start to finish from developing scope of work to project delivery required
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word and basic computer skills required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a strong focus on health and safety
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate with and support other senior air practitioners
