Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist at CHI St. Vincent, you will play a crucial role in capturing high-quality diagnostic images from patients. Your expertise will enable radiologists to accurately diagnose and rule out various conditions. You will work with a variety of imaging modalities, including x-rays, ultrasound, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs. Your strong communication skills will be essential in providing excellent patient care and ensuring a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities
  • Obtain pertinent medical history from patients through observation or oral communication.
  • Utilize patient clinical assessment and history to inform professional judgment and document patient assessment and clinical history.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, peers, and others to complete the hospital/physician plan of patient care.
  • Provide appropriate patient care during radiologic procedures.
  • Assist radiologists within the technologist scope of practice as directed by the physician.
  • Participate in student clinical competency evaluation by completing weekly student evaluations and documenting student competence.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of a Radiologic Technology, Military Program, or ultrasound program accredited by JRCERT.
  • Registered in the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • License in the State of Arkansas.
  • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association.
  • 2 years of experience in general radiology minimum.
