Key Responsibilities of the Lead Architectural Project Manager:
  • Serve as the primary liaison and overall program manager for multi-site clients
  • Oversee Project Architects and Senior Job Captains
  • Manage workload distribution effectively
  • Coordinate staffing efforts with other Senior Project Architects within the department
  • Handle project accounting and invoicing processes
  • Set long-term objectives and anticipate workload requirements
  • Build and maintain client relationships to foster business growth
  • Lead design, production, and project delivery efforts
  • Collaborate with consultants throughout all project phases
  • Ensure design integrity and oversee construction administration of projects
  • Provide technical direction to project staff
Qualifications for the Lead Architectural Project Manager:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture is preferred
  • Registered Architect in good standing is required; NCARB certification is preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in all phases of architectural design, production, and management
  • Supervisory experience is preferred
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential
  • Experience in Site Planning is required
  • A strong interest in professional growth within the firm and contributing to a successful organization
  • Demonstrated design skills
  • Experience across various project types, including retail, commercial, industrial, multi-family, and mixed-use developments
  • Technical knowledge of construction types, methods, and processes
  • Comprehensive understanding of codes and regulations, with the ability to research and apply code requirements to projects
  • Experience in all phases of project delivery
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are necessary
  • Excellent presentation and graphic skills are crucial
