We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Professional to join our team at Clinical Laboratories of Hawaii. As a Medical Laboratory Professional, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and timely laboratory results to support patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and complex analytical tests on human body fluids and tissues to provide accurate data to the healthcare team.
- Analyze, review, and report testing results to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment monitoring.
- Recognize and implement effective solutions to ensure quality control and safety in the laboratory environment.
- Work in a fast-paced laboratory setting with biological and chemical hazards.
- Champion safety, compliance, and quality control practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or a related science from an accredited program.
- Current and active certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) as a Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or American Medical Technologist as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT).
- Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to operate general laboratory equipment, including automated analyzers, centrifuges, microscopes, and pipettes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of laboratory experience in a hospital or commercial lab setting.
