About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Northern Nevada Health System. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care, coordinate care planning with other disciplines, and determine priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs of patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Direct Patient Care: Evaluate patient outcomes, consult with other specialists as required, and adjust nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Assess and Reassess Patients: Perform head-to-toe assessments on all patients and reassessments as per policy, including pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients.
  • Use Triage Process: Ensure timely and appropriate care to patients, accurately assign triage categories, and monitor hemodynamic status of patients.
  • Manage Pain: Assess and reassess pain, utilize appropriate pain management techniques, and educate patients and families regarding pain management.
