pBenchmark Human Services is a leading organization in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and behavioral health./ppWe provide a range of services, including residential, employment, crisis response, recovery, behavioral, children's services, and day services./ppOur California Active Consulting team in LA County, CA is currently recruiting for a Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician (LCSW/LPC/LMFT) to provide direct services and support to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and/or mental health diagnoses in crisis or at risk of inpatient placement, involvement with law enforcement, potential harm to themselves or others, or loss of residential/home placement due to severe behavioral and/or psychiatric related issues./ppThe Clinician will also provide education and training to provider agency personnel in support of the individual's treatment and care./ppWe are committed to empowering marginalized populations to see their potential and realizing the full potential of EVERYONE - those we serve, our partners and vendors, and our employees, who bring our mission to life each day./ppWe strive to be a workplace that honors the unique experiences of our employees and creates space for everyone to be their authentic selves./ppstrongBenefits:/strong/pulliHealth, dental, and vision insurance/liliLife insurance/liliMileage reimbursement/liliTuition reimbursement/liliPaid Time Off and Sick Time Pay/liliFlexible Spending Account (FSA)/liliAdvancement opportunities/lili401k with company match/liliEmployee discounts with various vendors/li/ulpstrongEssential Functions and Responsibilities:/strong/pulliProvide clinical recommendations and training to participating providers, caregivers, family members and others involved in the individual's care and treatment/liliAssist providers with development, implementation, and monitoring of Person-Centered Plans, Behavior Support Plans, Mental Health Treatment Plans and Crisis Safety Plans/liliProvide individual and programmatic, best-practice recommendations and training to participating providers and assist providers with implementation of best-practice protocols through consultation and training/liliComplete agency and individual assessments to guide subsequent clinical interventions/liliServe as a member of the Active Consulting Team/liliParticipate in provider wraparound or consultation meetings by reporting assessment results and offering rationale for best practice recommendations in areas of expertise/liliFacilitate referrals quickly to prevent escalation of crisis/liliEstablish formal and informal collaboration with provider agencies, payers, project and community stakeholders/liliEstablish and maintain record keeping functions; integration with EHR and other applicable data systems/liliComplete necessary documentation in a timely manner to facilitate reimbursement through primary funding sources/liliDevelop and implement safety plans as appropriate/liliReport any suspected abuse, neglect or exploitation in accordance with state rules and regulations and company policy/liliProvide clinical supervision to mental health practitioners, interns and individuals requiring post graduate licensure per state statutes/liliDevelop content and deliver in-person or virtual training to IDD/BH providers and community members on best practice crisis prevention measures i.e. behavioral supports, proactive strategies, triggers, staff interventions, replacement behaviors, etc/li/ulpstrongKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:/strong/pulliKnowledge of California Department of Developmental Services (DDS) and Mental Health Services Division (MHSD) regulations and standards/liliKnowledge of California Regional Centers regulations and standards/liliKnowledge of health care privacy and confidentiality rules/liliKnowledge of person-centered care and support for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or co-occurring mental health diagnoses/li/ulpstrongQualifications:/strong/pulliCurrent California Licensure as LCSW or LPC/liliMaintain professional license in good standing with applicable licensing board(s)/liliValid BLS CPR and Basic First Aid certification/liliCrisis de-escalation verbal skills and physical management training certificate, i.e., Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification/liliTwo years' experience providing case management services to individuals with IDD and/or Behavioral Heath diagnoses/liliValid driver's license and auto insurance/liliMust be computer literate/li/ulpstrongPreferred:/strong/pulliFluent bilingual speaker in one or more of the following languages: (English/Spanish; English/Mandarin; English/Korean; English/Tagalog)/liliTwo years' experience working with individuals diagnosed with IDD and behavioral health diagnoses/liliExperience working with individuals in crisis in community settings, i.e., residence, school, jobsite, etc./liliWorking knowledge of the California DDS, MHSD and Regional Centers service systems/li/ul
