Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist to join our team at Sparrow Health System. As a clinical pharmacist, you will play a critical role in the efficient and accurate preparation and dispensation of medications and other pharmaceuticals.
Key Responsibilities- Dispense medications to inpatients, outpatients, and employees in compliance with prescriptions.
- Provide information on medication usage to patients to facilitate the healing process.
- Efficiently and accurately process medication orders and stock requests.
- Advise physicians on the use of pharmacokinetic dosing services and anticoagulant dosing services.
- Assist in providing clinical experience to pharmacy students.
- Assess and advise physicians on accepted formulary products and alternative substitutions.
- Supervise and is responsible for work performed by pharmacy technicians and pharmacy interns.
- Valid State or Michigan Pharmacy license in good standing with the State of Michigan.
- Valid State of Michigan Controlled Substance license in good standing with the State of Michigan.
- Hospital experience preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy.
