Audiologist Position in Veterans' Disability Benefits

We are seeking an experienced Audiologist to perform medical assessments for United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.

About the Role

This is an in-person position that requires conducting a Maryland CNC Test and Puretone Audiometric test, with the Audiologist completing a Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ) in the computer portal. The medical evidence gathered forms the basis for the VA's decision on the veteran's benefits.

The successful candidate will not be required to prescribe any medical treatments or devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct medical assessments for 3-6 Veterans per day on average
  • Review and assess Veterans' medical records uploaded into a computer portal
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from an ASHA-accredited school
  • A current license as an Audiologist
  • Meet the credentialing requirements set forth by the VA

This is a 3-day-a-week position, working Tuesday through Thursday with 8-hour or 10-hour days. No evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts are required. This role offers 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes per patient, allowing for efficient assessment and care delivery.
