We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Assistant/Phlebotomist to join our team at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing sample processing, exempt screening, and monitoring tests in accordance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities- Perform venipunctures and obtain/prepare blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures.
- Assist technical staff in non-clinical tasks.
- Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- No prior experience required, but phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA, or equivalent agency is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of venipuncture/phlebotomy and working knowledge of clinical laboratory processes are preferred.
