The Center for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery seeks a skilled Medical Insurance Verification Specialist to join our team. As an integral part of our patient care process, this individual will be responsible for verifying insurance coverage and investigating any missing information that prohibits verification. The successful candidate will also maintain relationships with third-party insurance verification vendors.
- Work with third-party insurance verification companies to ensure timely verification of patient insurance.
- Serve as liaison between insurance providers, staff, and patients regarding eligibility, payments, approvals, etc.
- Navigate insurance company processes to achieve consistent outcomes.
- Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with staff, insurance providers, and patients.
Education and Experience:
This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent. An associate's degree or vocational school training is preferred. A minimum of one year of relevant experience is also required.
Skills and Abilities:
The ideal candidate should possess knowledge of medical and dental terminology, medical and dental insurance benefits, and medical coding. Experience with dental practice management software and Microsoft Excel is also necessary.
