Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Sutter Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized nuclear medicine procedures to produce high-quality images for physicians and other healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Competently perform nuclear medicine procedures to produce accurate and timely results.
  • Work independently, exercising sound judgment and clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure patient privacy and safety.
  • May also be responsible for performing specific procedures and/or orienting other staff to the department.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an educational program in Nuclear Medicine or Radiography accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Educational Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology or the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
  • NMT-California Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist and BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certifications.
  • 5 years of recent relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • General knowledge of diagnostic nuclear medicine principles, procedures, views, and equipment.
  • Capable of performing routine nuclear medicine examinations and possessing a basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences.
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods.
  • General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite and related information systems.
Working Conditions

This is a per diem/casual position with variable days and every other weekend. The pay range is $70.57 to $88.19 per hour.
