Position Overview

The Automation Systems Engineer will play a pivotal role in the effective design, engineering, construction, testing, and commissioning of projects. This position requires a collaborative approach to ensure the success of the Project Team throughout all phases of each initiative.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate reach studies and simulations for robotic systems
  • Create software solutions for robotic applications
  • Design and implement applications for vision systems
  • Develop layouts and systems that adhere to lean manufacturing principles
  • Collaborate with Project Teams during all stages of project design, development, and execution
  • Oversee automation strategies to ensure timely system completion
  • Confirm compliance with RIA and ANSI safety standards
  • Lead system startup, implementation, and validation of client specifications
  • Manage the installation of systems
  • Identify and implement enhancements to existing automation in mechanical assembly and inspection workflows
  • Work closely with clients and suppliers to troubleshoot issues and provide technical assistance

Required Qualifications

  • 3 – 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Automation Engineering
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing methodologies
  • 2-3 years of experience with PLCs, low voltage controls, three-phase power distribution, vision systems, electronic sensors, pneumatics, and robotics
  • Understanding of ergonomic and machine safety design standards
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Solidworks, and MS Office suite
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
