Junior Compounding Pharmacy Technician

Position Overview
The primary objective of the Junior Compounding Pharmacy Technician is to deliver exceptional service and patient experiences by formulating the highest quality compounds in accordance with established protocols. Key responsibilities encompass managing daily tasks, conducting potency assessments as per guidelines, and adhering strictly to all operational procedures.
Work Schedule
Monday - Thursday
7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Friday
7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Core Responsibilities
- Execute compounding tasks following formula documentation and compounding standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of all equipment utilized in the compounding process.
- Ensure personal safety by adhering to appropriate gowning and safety protocols.
- Regularly submit samples for potency verification.
- Adhere to the daily objectives set by the Compounding Pharmacist.
- Continuously identify and implement enhancements to departmental processes and procedures.
- Ensure thorough documentation is completed with necessary forms (e.g., scale calibration, cleaning records).

Qualifications & Skills
- Proficient in using PK Compounder & Script Pro.
- Skilled in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment.
- Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
- Exhibits a positive demeanor with patients and colleagues.
- Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency.
- Must possess certification as a pharmacy technician and be registered in the state of Texas.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment

- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
- Requires the capacity to stand for extended periods.

- Comfortable operating pharmacy machinery (e.g., pouring powders into the tall hopper, manipulating the tablet press lever).
