Position Overview:
Amerit Fleet Solutions, a prominent provider of fleet maintenance services in the United States, is seeking a qualified Fleet Maintenance Specialist. The Fleet Maintenance Specialist will be tasked with the efficient repair and upkeep of light and medium-duty fleet vehicles to guarantee safe and effective operations.
Compensation Package:
Attractive Hourly Wage ($30.00-$43.00)
Paid on a weekly basis, every Friday. 2nd Shift: 2:00pm - 6:30am (8-hour shifts). What do we offer? Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate vehicle records and reports, both manually and digitally.
- Conduct repairs and preventative maintenance on light to medium-duty vehicles.
- Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare necessary safety documentation.
- Adhere to all relevant laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Inspect and execute work on the undercarriage of vehicles.
- Access all areas of the equipment or vehicle to carry out essential maintenance.
- Transport parts to and from the job site and install or remove these parts on vehicles.
- Communicate with clients as needed.
- Undertake additional duties as required.
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in vehicle maintenance or an auto or diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical institution.
- ASE Certifications are preferred.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in computer applications: knowledge of Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and Email.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for documentation and interaction with colleagues and supervisors.
- Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle to assess functionality.
- Must provide personal hand tools and toolbox.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing job duties.
- Encounter considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes, and noise.
- Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases, or other irritants.
- Capability to move and position objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, and crawl to repair vehicles.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
