About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator/Medical Assistant to join our team at OnPoint Medical Group. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our medical staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greeting and Registering Patients
    • Welcoming patients in a friendly and professional manner
    • Registering new patients and verifying patient information for existing patients
  • Administrative Support
    • Completing pre-visit planning, including insurance verification and updating patient records
    • Collecting co-pays and payments as needed
    • Answering inbound calls to schedule patients and acting as a liaison to clinical staff for patient questions
  • Medical Assistant Duties
    • Backing up medical assistants as needed, including rooming patients and documenting vitals accurately
    • Populating all sections of the electronic medical record timely and accurately
    • Assisting providers during examinations and treatments
    • Cleaning and disinfecting treatment rooms following patient examinations
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Providing excellent customer service to patients and colleagues
    • Working effectively in a team environment to achieve common goals
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required
    • Formal training or experience as a medical assistant preferred
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
    • Basic computer skills and experience with electronic medical records
