Key Responsibilities- Pharmacy Operations
- Oversee pharmacy technicians and ensure all personnel adhere to company policy, state, and federal pharmacy statutes.
- Review and interpret prescription orders from prescribers for accuracy and appropriateness.
- Verify work performed by pharmacy technicians, including filled prescription orders, cassettes filled for semi-automated dispensing devices, and inventory receipt.
- Patient Interaction
- Interact with patients over the phone to provide counseling and answer drug questions.
- Professional Development
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the profession by attending meetings, lectures, in-service education, and seminars.
- Comply with National Standards of Continuing Education to maintain professional competency and proficiency.
- Administrative Tasks
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Ensure a high level of professional service is provided by the pharmacy at all times.
- Doctor of Pharmacy Degree or BS Degree in Pharmacy.
- Must be a licensed, registered pharmacist in the state of Pennsylvania.
- 6 months experience practicing pharmacy.
- Mail order pharmacy experience preferred, but not required.
- Ability to perform any necessary pharmacy math.
- Ability to learn and perform operations within pharmacy management software systems.
- Read, comprehend, and implement company policies and procedures and pharmacy statutes in daily practice.
- Fast learner with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Perform effectively and professionally as a member of a larger team.
