Bakery Clerk

**Job Summary**

Schnuck Markets is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Bakery Clerk to join our team. As a Bakery Clerk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and assisting with the preparation and display of fresh-baked products.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
• Assist customers with product selections, including suggestive selling and answering questions about products.
• Process incoming products from the bakery plant and direct store delivery vendors, ensuring accurate inventory and storage.
• Package fresh-baked products, including slicing and wrapping bread, and preparing decorated cakes for display.
• Stock product displays in cases and on shelves, maintaining a visually appealing store environment.
• Rotate product and straighten displays, ensuring a clean and organized store appearance.
• Prepare out-dated product for the thrift stores, adhering to company guidelines and procedures.
• Order decorated cakes from the bakery plant, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.
• Assist with baking cookies and other bakery products, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Constantly clean and maintain work areas and equipment, adhering to company safety and sanitation procedures.

**Requirements:**

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work on feet for entire shifts (4-8 hours).
• Must be in good standing with the company, with a minimum of six months employment with Schnuck Markets.
• Internal candidates must have manager approval based on performance.
