Adult Cardiac Imaging Specialist

- Conducts fundamental adult cardiac echocardiogram procedures, including 2D, M-Mode, Doppler, and 3D LVEF echocardiograms.
- Assists in trans-esophageal echocardiograms and is in training for exercise stress and pharmacological stress echocardiograms, as well as pediatric echocardiograms.
- Executes all essential adult cardiac echocardiogram procedures, edits recordings, performs measurements, and inputs data into the system. Identifies normal versus abnormal cardiac findings.
- Fulfills cardiac sonographer responsibilities to support departmental requirements, including recognizing arrhythmias and understanding specific cardiac diagnoses to ensure optimal imaging results.
- Operates sophisticated imaging equipment as required.
- Performs adult echocardiograms on-call and participates in pediatric on-call procedures with the support of a pediatric sonographer.
- Engages in training for exercise stress and pharmacologic stress echocardiograms.
- Contributes to weekly imaging conference presentations.
- Facilitates patient flow within the department and adopts a proactive approach to address patient inquiries.
- Participates in quality assurance and control initiatives.
- Reports and documents any equipment malfunctions.
- Undertakes additional duties as assigned.
• Associate's Degree from an accredited cardiac ultrasound program or RDCS/RCS-eligible background with a minimum of one year of cardiac echo experience.
• Must demonstrate proficiency on all laboratory equipment within the first three months of employment.
- Certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) in Adult Echocardiography or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) in Adult Echocardiography.
- Licensure by the Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy in the state of New Hampshire.
- BLS certification is mandatory.
