Actuarial Analyst

Ameritas is seeking a highly skilled Actuarial Analyst to join our team as a GAAP Valuation Specialist. As a key member of our actuarial team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct quarterly GAAP/LDTI valuation and analysis, generating reports and communicating results to stakeholders
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of FIS Prophet actuarial models, ensuring they are accurate and up-to-date
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide valuation insights and support business initiatives
- Assist in the design and maintenance of LDTI reporting processes and create analytical tools to enhance management insights
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent experience
- ASA-Associate, Society of Actuaries certification required
- Minimum 3-5 years of actuarial experience, preferably with a focus on Life products
- Advanced knowledge of spreadsheets, databases, and actuarial mathematics
- Experience working on GAAP financials, with a preference for LDTI experience
- Proficiency in financial and modeling software, including FIS Prophet
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
- Superior problem-solving skills and a desire to learn
- Data analytic tool experience, such as PowerBI or similar, is a plus
