Nursing Professor and Family Nurse Practitioner

Brenau University is seeking a qualified Nursing Professor and Family Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our academic faculty, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in our graduate nursing program.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching and Mentoring: Provide a learning environment that supports student success, teaching synchronous or asynchronous courses as assigned, and developing and revising class syllabi.
- Student Support: Maintain office hours, ensure timely management of electronic correspondence, and lead instruction in courses, engaging students in relevant discussion and coursework.
- Academic Administration: Partner with Academic Advisors to address student concerns, maintain and submit accurate and timely reports for student grades/progress, and deliver final grades to the Registrar's Office.
- Departmental Involvement: Attend department and faculty meetings, and perform additional duties as assigned by the School.
- Doctoral Degree: Hold a doctoral degree (PhD, DNP, EdD) in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution.
- Certification: Be nationally board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner, with dual certification as an AGACNP/FNP preferred.
- Clinical Experience: Have recent clinical experience as an FNP or AGACNP in an NP role, with two to four years related experience and/or training.
- Technical Skills: Possess exceptional computer skills using Microsoft Office applications and G-suite applications.
- Work Environment: Be able to work effectively on campus or in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
