Job Summary:

Soliant is seeking a skilled and compassionate School Nurse to join our team. As a School Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of students in the Essex Junction area.

Responsibilities:

  • Healthcare Services: Assess and respond to students' health concerns, injuries, and illnesses promptly, providing appropriate care and referrals as needed.
  • Individualized Healthcare Plans: Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with specific medical needs, in collaboration with parents/guardians and other healthcare providers.
  • Health Record Management: Maintain accurate and confidential health records, including immunization records, health assessments, and documentation of healthcare services provided.
  • Health Education: Educate students, parents, and staff on health-related topics, including preventive care, hygiene practices, and emergency procedures.
  • Accommodations and Support: Provide accommodations for students with disabilities as needed per school's requirements and assist students with transportation to and from school as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Valid RN License: Valid RN license in VT.
  • Experience: Experience working as a nurse in a school, pediatric, or related healthcare setting (experience in an educational setting preferred).
  • Skills: Strong clinical skills, including first aid, medication administration, and assessment of common childhood illnesses and injuries. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and staff members.

Requirements:

  • Certifications and Licenses: Valid RN license in VT.
  • Education: Experience working as a nurse in a school, pediatric, or related healthcare setting (experience in an educational setting preferred).
