Position: Coating Specialist – Offering competitive remuneration and benefits package.
Classification: Non-exempt
Work Schedule: 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday.
Position Summary: The Coating Specialist is responsible for applying powder coating to various surfaces, including steel, aluminum, and other coated or uncoated metals, as well as finished hardware and accessories, as per specifications.
Key Responsibilities: In this role, you will prepare metal surfaces for the powder coating process, which includes tasks such as hanging, washing, plugging, scrubbing, taping, and sanding of parts and assemblies.
Required Skills: Familiarity with oven and wash bay operations, maintenance, and procedures is essential. You will need to report any issues to your supervisor and possess a keen eye for quality control. Continuous training on evolving powder application techniques will be provided. You should be capable of changing nozzles within the wash system and managing the dumping and refilling processes as necessary. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace is crucial, along with performing any additional duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements: Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, be self-motivated, and demonstrate excellent communication skills along with attention to detail and quality. The ability to stand for extended periods is also required.
