Job Summary:

We are seeking a professional and high-energy Bartender to join our team at the Gateway Convention Center in Collinsville, IL. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving beverages, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and serve customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Select and mix ingredients, garnish glasses, and serve beverages to customers
  • Check identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol
  • Take inventory and order supplies to ensure the bar and tables are well-stocked
  • Adhere to all food safety and quality regulations
  • Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons
  • Maintain a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment

Requirements:

  • Previous bartending experience
  • Availability to work nights and weekends
  • Positive, engaging personality and professional appearance
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Eye for detail and understanding of drink mixing tools and techniques
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc. for extended periods, and lift 25 lbs
