Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ingot Processor to join our team at Precision Castparts Corp. As an Ingot Processor, you will play a critical role in the production of vacuum melted ingots from mold preparation to shipping finished ingots.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare metal and furnace for efficient pouring and shipping schedules.
• Inspect and deliver metal ingot molds to furnace areas.
• Clean, inspect, and insert graphite plugs into ingot molds.
• Operate and correct robot deficiencies and product flow problems as needed.
• Load and unload ingot molds and mold racks using fork lift truck and overhead cranes and hoists.
• Remove from molds, clean, inspect, type check, weigh, and ship vacuum melted ingots.
• May load melting pots with metals.
• Complete paperwork and logs.
• Type check ingots using hand held analyzer.
• Blast, grind, and mark ingots for shipping.
• Type check, bag, and prepare ingots for shipping.

Working Conditions

This position requires working in a fast-paced production environment with exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, temperature extremes, molten metal, and other elements for extended periods of time.

Requirements

• Ability to follow instructions, read, write, and perform arithmetic calculations.
• Ability to lift and/or maneuver objects weighing thirty to fifty pounds.
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Ability to safely maneuver heavy loads with overhead cranes/hoists.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with overhead cranes/hoists and automated equipment.
