Job Overview

Aerotek is seeking a skilled CMM Programmer/Layout Technician to join our team in Three Rivers, Michigan. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing layout and verification of customer supplied casting designs for the automotive, agricultural, and appliance industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in IATF 16949 development in the tooling area.
  • Assist in sample development and submission.
  • Create CMM programs for verification of customer supplied designs.
  • Develop 3D scan programs for verification of customer supplied designs.
  • Evaluate tooling to relate casting defects to design deviation or process.
  • Monitor tooling wear through mold count and dimensional evaluation.
  • Assist in gage calibration.
Requirements
  • 1+ years of PC-DMIS experience.
  • 1-3+ years of CMM programming & layout experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of PCs and related software.
  • Ability to read prints and understand Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Knowledge of ISO/QS9000/IATF16949 standards.
