Job Summary

As a Driver/Bellman with Westmont Hospitality Group, you will be responsible for transporting guests to and from the airport and within a specified radius of the hotel. When not transporting guests, you will be stationed at the hotel, assisting with luggage, answering guest inquiries, and performing other job-related duties assigned by your manager or supervisor.

Essential Functions
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of hotel vehicles and equipment.
  • Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, however busy and at whatever time of day.
  • Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
  • Be familiar with all hotel services, features, and local attractions to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
  • Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Transport guests to and from the airport and locally within a specified radius of the hotel.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
  • Transport guest luggage from the point of arrival to their assigned room.
  • Transport guest luggage from the current room to the reassigned room for room changes.
  • Assist in locating guest's lost luggage.
  • Correctly tag, store, and retrieve luggage from the holding room.
  • Identify and explain hotel facilities and features to guests while escorting them to their rooms.
  • Identify the fire exit closest to the guest's room and explain the safety features of the assigned room.
  • Identify and explain guest room features.
  • Maintain accurate knowledge of scheduled functions with the hotel to direct guests to the correct locations.
  • Relay accurate directions to guests on inquiries of transportation within the local area.
  • Deliver items to guest rooms when needed.
  • Monitor and maintain the appearance of lobby areas and luggage holding rooms.
  • Document maintenance needs in work areas and submit them to the manager.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Valid Florida Driver's License
  • Good driving record
  • Must have a good understanding of the English language
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others both verbally and written
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor
Physical Demands

Exert physical effort in lifting/transporting at least 50 pounds. Push/pull carts and other equipment. Endure various physical movements throughout the work area. Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility. Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
