Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Chief Flight Instructor Rotor Wing to lead our Flight Operations program at Access Dubuque. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all rotor-wing flight training activities, mentoring and supervising Assistant Chiefs and Flight Instructors, and ensuring compliance with regulatory policies and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective flight training programs and training course outlines (TCOs)
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of flight training activities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with the Aviation Safety Manager to identify and mitigate safety and security risks
  • Recruit and retain students for the program and participate in recruiting events
  • Work closely with other university staff to achieve program goals and objectives
Requirements
  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Two or more years of flight experience in the aviation industry
  • Two years of flight instructing experience
  • CFII certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft business and 365 software
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to take initiative and follow through with tasks individually and as a group
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of students and staff
