Department Overview:

The Nuclear Enterprise Division (N130) is on the lookout for a Division Operations Lead (DOL) to enhance our collaborative team. This division works closely with various sectors, including the Navy, OSD, Joint Staff, and Combatant Commands, to advance the United States' nuclear deterrent capabilities. Our work environment is characterized by teamwork and innovation, as we strive to deliver impactful technical solutions for our sponsors and the broader enterprise.

The DOL will play a pivotal role in executing the division's operational functions and ensuring the successful implementation of our strategic objectives. This position involves working closely with the Managing Director and Division Chief Engineer, as well as engaging with other directors and project leaders to drive the N130 strategy and achieve significant outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement the division's strategic plan and manage operational activities.
  • Facilitate regular communication with project leaders and finance teams to ensure alignment and progress.
  • Support the Division Chief Engineer in managing proposals and initiatives that align with our strategic goals.
  • Foster an inclusive work environment and identify opportunities for team engagement.
  • Serve as a key communication link to maintain consistent messaging across the division.
  • Engage with sponsors to manage relationships and support critical strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years with a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with the capability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
  • Experience in project or personnel leadership for at least two years.
  • Familiarity with the Federal Government and Department of Defense operations.
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships and communicate effectively.
  • Strong organizational and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and achieve consensus.
  • Proficient in communicating intricate ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated capability to work cross-functionally to meet business objectives.
  • This role requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site work.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance and access to classified infrastructure.
  • Understanding of Air and Space Force operations.
  • Experience with the Objectives and Key Results (OKR) framework.
  • Knowledge of the Nuclear domain and its associated challenges.
  • Familiarity with MITRE's operational cycles and processes.
  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting experience.
  • Technical expertise in relevant areas such as Systems Engineering or Cyber Resiliency.
  • Professional demeanor when interacting with senior leadership.
