Position Summary:

The Logistics Coordinator plays a crucial role in the Jarco Aggregates team, responsible for efficiently processing customer orders within the delivery system. This position requires a proactive problem solver who can cultivate strong relationships with clients while ensuring exceptional customer service. The individual will operate independently under the guidance of the supervisor, particularly for more complex tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for customers, addressing inquiries regarding products, order placements, tracking, and resolving issues.
  • Respond to phone calls promptly and courteously to minimize missed communications.
  • Facilitate customer requests and negotiate suitable delivery schedules.
  • Accurately input customer orders into the delivery system.
  • Collaborate with the Plant Batcher and Plant Supervisor to coordinate delivery schedules.
  • Continuously monitor scheduling calendars and communicate any issues to the team.
  • Research and verify directions to delivery locations.
  • Provide potential leads to the Sales Team.
  • Promote additional products and services to customers.
  • Follow up with customers to finalize schedules and inform them of any service-related concerns.
  • Actively seek customer feedback to identify opportunities for operational improvements.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance as scheduled.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to enhance team operations.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in Dispatch for Material Hauling or a related field.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Dispatch Software.
  • Familiarity with State and Federal DOT Regulations for Drivers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a solid background in customer service.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical abilities, capable of managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong decision-making and analytical skills.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with effective time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and resolve conflicts efficiently.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • 4 to 5 years of experience in Material Hauling or Dispatch.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in a Dispatch Supervisor capacity.
  • Minimum of 2 years in customer service is required.
  • 6 years of computer literacy is required.
  • A valid Driver's License is necessary.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Willingness to work up to 10-12 hours per day, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move throughout the facility.
  • May involve prolonged periods of sitting to complete job tasks.

Work Environment:

  • Position located at Corporate Headquarters.
  • Background checks and drug tests are mandatory.
  • Maintaining a valid driver's license with appropriate endorsements and a clean driving record is essential.
  • Work is primarily conducted in an office setting.
  • Exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, and oils may occur.
  • Flexibility to work hours outside of the regular schedule may be required.
