The Rotating Equipment Specialist will be responsible for establishing, developing, and executing the Rotating Equipment Maintenance (REM) program across multiple sites, ensuring adherence to corporate standards, industry regulations, and safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Formulate and maintain REM program guidelines to align with the latest corporate maintenance protocols and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with various departments including maintenance, production, and engineering to enhance the care and operational practices of rotating equipment.
- Regularly update maintenance procedures and manage spare parts inventory to optimize equipment performance.
- Track and communicate progress on REM initiatives to management, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized REM activities as necessary.
- Conduct thorough reviews of rotating equipment operations to ensure compliance with all relevant specifications and standards.
- Perform both formal and informal audits of the REM program to verify adherence to established codes and regulations.
- Support corporate audits related to HES Risk Engineering and Insurance as required.
- Stay informed about current regulations and standards affecting the industry.
- Assess capital project scopes and vendor proposals for new equipment acquisitions.
- Execute failure mode analyses to identify and mitigate risks associated with equipment failures.
- Provide training and mentorship to personnel on repair techniques and preventive maintenance practices.
- Maintain expertise in industry practices concerning the design, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation of rotating equipment.
- Achieve and maintain certification in vibration analysis to aid in troubleshooting and repairs.
- Develop and oversee a mean-time-between-failures program for critical rotating equipment across sites.
Education: B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in plant maintenance or engineering roles.
Skills: In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and rotating equipment standards, experience in design and maintenance, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with SAP.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
