Culinary Professional

The Center for Courageous Kids is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Culinary Professional to join our team. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for assisting in food preparation, maintaining proper sanitation and cleanliness of all kitchen and dining areas, and overseeing the work of stewards and volunteers.

• Assist in food preparation and presentation, ensuring high-quality dishes are served to our guests.
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Oversee the work of stewards and volunteers, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing waste.
• Collaborate with our culinary team to develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety and handling procedures.

• Must be Serv-Safe Certified or able to successfully complete certification.
• A minimum of one year experience in a commercial kitchen environment, preferably in a leadership or management role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and summer, as required.
• Ability to read and write fluently in English.
• Minimum age of 18.
• Physical strength to lift, load, and unload up to 50 pounds, sweep, mop, etc.
• Stamina to stand and work for 8-hour shifts with allowed breaks, with occasional overtime required.
