Culinary Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Cook at Healthcare Services Group, Inc. As a key member of our dining services team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality food and exceptional customer service to our residents and clients.
Responsibilities- Prepare and serve food, including texture modified and therapeutic diets, following facility menus and applicable federal, state, and local standards.
- Assist in ensuring proper receiving, storage, preparation, serving, sanitation, and cleaning procedures are followed.
- Support Dietary Aide as necessary and direct other employees with approval.
- Utilize protective gear in all appropriate functions and follow safety precautions.
- Ensure established standards, safety, and quality guidelines are met.
- Follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures to maintain a sanitary environment.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and ability to follow instructions.
- Utilize leadership skills to accomplish responsibilities without supervision.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with experience in food preparation preferred.
- Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required based on State/County law.
- Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
- Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
- Must live in the service area.
