Key Responsibilities

  • Welcomes customers warmly as they enter the establishment, providing prompt and efficient service while expressing gratitude for their patronage.
  • Processes customer transactions using a digital cash register, handling payments accurately and managing refunds for returned items.
  • Assists in the transition of shifts by reconciling cash drawers at the start and conclusion of each shift.
  • Operates specialized equipment for processing various transactions, including money orders, credit card payments, checks, and lottery transactions.
  • Verifies identification for age-restricted sales.
  • Monitors and replenishes inventory of food service supplies, including cups, lids, condiments, napkins, straws, and stirrers.
  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of all equipment utilized for service or stocking food items, adhering to proper cleaning protocols.
  • Ensures all areas are kept clean by following established cleaning procedures, including countertops, microwaves, shelves, floors, windows, cooler doors, food service equipment, restrooms, and parking areas.
  • Empties and cleans trash receptacles regularly.
  • Stocks shelves and coolers, ensuring proper rotation and presentation of products, while removing damaged or expired items.
  • Assists with vendor deliveries as required, following company protocols.
  • Completes necessary documentation for defective merchandise.
  • Places orders for inventory as needed.
  • Utilizes current training resources effectively.
  • Completes all required training assessments and documentation.
  • Provides constructive feedback to management regarding training programs and materials.
  • Monitors cash levels and adheres to security protocols during shifts to ensure compliance.
  • Reviews task assignments for thoroughness and accuracy.
  • Takes on additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to meet operational needs.
  • Performs other tasks as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
