About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Part-Time Dentist to join our team at Mat-Su Health Services. As a key member of our dental team, you will provide comprehensive, coordinated preventative dental services to ethnically diverse patient populations across the lifespan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including preventative and restorative care, in accordance with training, experience, and licensure.
  • Recommend and/or administer medications in accordance with the standards of care adopted by the Alaska State Board of Dental Examiners and MSHS policies.
  • Complete or supervise the completion of all necessary documentation of visits, referrals, insurance verification, and any other paperwork that may be a part of the dental visit.
  • Meet patient care productivity requirements as may be set by the Center to meet requirements of outside funding and/or reimbursement sources.
  • Handle protected health information (PHI) in a manner consistent with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
  • Participate in quality assurance program development and implementation.
  • Participate in community outreach and education efforts as necessary.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nationally recognized dental program/school.
  • Unrestricted current Alaska professional license to practice as a Dentist.
  • Current DEA license.
  • Two years post-graduate practice experience preferred.
  • Two years minimum working in rural and/or underserved clinical environment preferred.
