We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to specialize in designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems, as well as knowing motion programming with electrical skills. This role is located at our Hopkinton, MA location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with principals and key leaders to achieve the visions and strategy of the firm, implementing technology in support of project efficiency and design innovation.
  • Design and development: Develop control system architectures and schematics using CAD based on project requirements using ACS controller products.
  • Design hardware interfaces, software components, and integrating various sensors, actuators, drives, controllers, and servos.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers and test technicians, to achieve project goals and ensure seamless integration of control systems.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to control system design, implementation, and maintenance activities.
  • Update reporting, technical documents, and user manuals as necessary.

Requirements:

  • BS or MS degree in electrical engineering.
  • 5+ years of work experience in motion systems hardware development.
  • Experience in aspects of electrical design: component selection, system architecture, design verification, and documentation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate system requirements into Mechatronics solutions.
  • Experience resolving compliance testing and EMI/EMC issues through methodical RCA.
  • Experience with ACS products and HMI software.
  • Experience designing 2+ layer interface PCBs using Easy-PC or equivalent.
  • Experience designing cables and system interconnects using 2D Draftsight/AutoCAD.
  • Experience designing system-level schematic using SolidWorks Electrical.
  • Hands-on experience with motion controllers, PLCs, and industrial automation.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Established engineering knowledge in the application and development of analytical solutions to complex engineering problems.
  • Discipline and creativity in applying skills to work assignments and projects.
  • Minimum supervision necessary in solving complex engineering problems.
  • Demonstrate good leadership skills with experience in teamwork and team building.
  • Ability to work with and read precision hand tools.
