Job Title: Experienced Subaru Service Advisor

Pay
  • This is a commissioned position with a salary range of $40,000 to $120,000 per year.
Essential Duties
  • Schedule service appointments and obtain customer and vehicle data prior to arrival when possible.
  • Greets customers in a timely and friendly manner, obtaining vehicle information.
  • Accurately and clearly writes up customer vehicle problems on repair orders.
  • Test drives vehicles with customers as needed to confirm problems or refers to test technicians.
  • Reviews service history, inspects vehicles, and recommends additional needed service.
  • Advises customers on car care and the value of maintaining vehicles according to manufacturers' specifications.
  • Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts.
  • Establishes promised time, checks with dispatchers if necessary, and obtains customer signatures on repair orders.
  • Establishes customer payment methods and obtains credit approval if necessary.
  • Notifies dispatchers of incoming work and checks on repair progress throughout the day.
  • Contacts customers regarding changes in estimates or promised time, explains costs and time requirements, and obtains proper authorization before additional repairs are performed.
  • Implements and maintains a service marketing program.
  • Reviews repair orders to ensure work is completed and additional work and authorization are noted, closing repair orders as appropriate.
  • Ensures vehicles are parked in assigned areas, locked, and all keys are marked and put away correctly.
  • Keeps service department forms, menus, and pricing guides up-to-date.
  • Explains completed work and all charges to customers.
  • Implements a quality control process to eliminate comebacks.
  • Maintains high customer satisfaction standards.
  • Inspects vehicles for body work, informs customers if work is needed, and provides estimates for body work.
