Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility.
- Oversee residents' medication administration as per prescribed guidelines.
- Monitor and assist with insulin testing and injections, as well as other medical needs outlined in individual care plans.
- Encourage resident participation in various activities and promote engagement.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all residents.
- Document any changes in residents' health status and personal requirements.
- Maintain a safe living environment for residents.
- Report any concerns regarding residents to supervisors and colleagues.
- Respond to emergencies, providing first aid and coordinating necessary medical follow-up.
- Adhere to safety protocols while handling equipment and materials.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to deliver exceptional care.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Completion of state-required Medication Technician Training may be necessary.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively for job responsibilities.
- Demonstrated respect and dignity in caring for seniors and their belongings.
- Friendly and congenial communication skills with clients.
- Completion of new hire orientation is mandatory for caregivers.
