BITCO Insurance Companies, a leader in providing specialized insurance solutions, is looking for a Risk Control Consultant to support our clients effectively. This position is designed for candidates located in or around the Atlanta, GA area. This role offers the flexibility of remote work, complemented by necessary travel to client sites.
Role Summary:
As a key member of the Risk Control team, you will deliver essential risk management services to BITCO's clientele across the state of Georgia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess risk exposures and mitigation strategies for existing and potential clients, focusing on Workers' Compensation, general liability, and Commercial Auto sectors.
- Identify opportunities for risk enhancement and recommend actionable improvements.
- Generate comprehensive risk assessment reports.
- Facilitate safety meetings and training sessions for clients as needed.
- Leverage expertise in product lines to promote favorable loss experience outcomes.
- Support business growth through strong agency partnerships and effective client engagement.
- Assist in mentoring and training team members when required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Risk Control Consultant or Loss Control Consultant role, with a focus on DOT Fleet Safety, Commercial Construction, Forestry, or Public Entities.
- Professional safety certifications (CSP, ARM, or equivalent) are preferred; candidates should be willing to pursue these certifications.
- Knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, and DOT regulations is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of customer safety programs, along with state and federal regulations and general insurance policies.
- Excellent communication and mentoring abilities, with a knack for sharing knowledge effectively.
- Proven ability to cultivate and maintain strong client relationships.
- Effective communication skills across various platforms, including in-person, phone, and email.
- Physical capability to assess customer job sites and equipment, including bending, kneeling, reaching, climbing, and walking.
- Possession of a valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
