Piping/Plumbing Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Piping/Plumbing Designer to join our team at Eichleay Engineers. This individual will be responsible for designing and developing piping systems for life sciences projects, including biopharmaceutical facilities, food and beverage plants, and laboratories.

• Review brownfield site conditions and assist in laser scanning
• Review piping specifications and develop 3D Revit models
• Prepare piping isometrics, plan elevation drawings, and bills of materials
• Participate in project meetings, model reviews, and interface with other disciplines
• Contribute to various stages of project development, from conceptual design through to construction documentation

• Associate degree or related experience in an engineering or scientific discipline
• 5+ years of building experience, with a focus on piping/plumbing design for life sciences projects
• Strong 3D modeling design experience in Revit and understanding of 3D modeling best practices/procedures
• Familiarity with other CAD tools and software, such as Navisworks and AutoCAD
• Good understanding of design and operation of biopharmaceutical facilities in manufacturing, pilot plant, and laboratories
• Knowledge of API, ASME, and ANSI standards
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to interact effectively with project team members and other staff
