Human Resource Generalist Job Description

Viper Northwest, Inc. is a precision manufacturing organization seeking a skilled Human Resource Generalist to support our team.

Job Summary: The HR Generalist will provide human resources services, including talent acquisition, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, health and safety, employee relations and retention, and legal compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • HR Administration: Administer and maintain various human resource plans and procedures, including company handbooks, workers' compensation, and new hire orientation.
  • Compliance: Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, as they pertain to labor law, workers compensation and safety.
  • Performance Evaluation Administration: Administer the company employee performance evaluation system, providing documentation and guidance to supervisors and above.
  • Compensation: Maintain, promote, and advocate for the company wage and compensation philosophy, researching industry trends and changes.
  • Employee Relations: Actively work to resolve workplace conflicts, acting as a liaison between employees and Senior Management.
  • Benefits Administration: Support employee benefits programs, including COBRA, health, dental, optical, and life insurances, Paid Time Off (PTO), etc.
  • HR Information Systems: Manage the company HR Information Systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all information and documents stored in the system.

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
