Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse at Waverly Health Center is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical-surgical environment. This role requires strong assessment, delegation, and coordination skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients' needs and develop individualized care plans
- Delegate tasks to other healthcare team members as needed
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care
To be successful in this role, you must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa. A baccalaureate degree in nursing is preferred. Additionally, you must be able to read, speak, and write fluent English, and have the ability to learn and navigate computer systems.
Physical DemandsThis role requires sitting, standing, walking, and lifting approximately 35 pounds. You must also use proper body mechanics and ergonomics when lifting/moving patients or equipment.
