Job Overview
RD Nutrition Consultants LLC is looking for a dedicated full-time Outpatient Dietitian.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

Compensation: $30.00-$37.00 per hour

Position Duration: Short-term (13 weeks)

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Dietitian will act as the representative for RD Nutrition Consultants in the realm of nutritional care, delivering remote clinical nutrition and counseling services to patients with various health conditions. The Dietitian will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals including physicians, nurses, and food service personnel to meet the clinical nutrition needs of patients. Responsibilities include addressing nutrition consults initiated by hospital staff, which involve nutritional management and assessment of nutritional status. The Dietitian will also develop assessment methods and educational programs necessary for comprehensive nutritional care for patients facing complex nutritional and psychosocial challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

~ Deliver nutritional care processes

~ Analyze nutritional data and tailor individual nutrition care plans

~ Conduct thorough dietary histories with patients and/or caregivers

~ Implement suitable dietary plans in collaboration with healthcare teams

~ Maintain administrative duties, including documentation and communication for patient and physician awareness

~ Stay informed on research related to nutritional needs of patients with health conditions

~ Ensure productive use of hours and maintain communication with the Wellness Director regarding any changes

Resource Management:

~ Orient outpatient office and clinical staff to their roles

~ Pursue continuing education and personal development to uphold knowledge and registration

~ Assist the Wellness Director with documentation of outpatient nutrition office performance

Client Relations:

The Dietitian will provide dietary counseling and nutrition care services to outpatients whose conditions necessitate intricate dietary management. The complexity of managing patients outside a controlled medical environment requires innovative strategies to ensure adherence. Responsibilities include conducting detailed dietary histories with patients and/or caregivers, reviewing medical records, and evaluating nutritional needs. The Dietitian will utilize knowledge of various disease states, nutrient metabolism, and nutritional assessment to create personalized dietary plans.

Quality Improvement:

~ Oversee the nutritional care of outpatients

~ Counsel patients and their families on dietary matters

~ Monitor quality assurance indicators and develop action plans

~ Contribute to the establishment of departmental nutritional care standards

~ Coordinate outpatient nutrition education activities, including the review and development of educational materials

~ Maintain accurate records of patient care

Leadership Responsibilities:

~ Represent RD Nutrition Consultants and the facility with professionalism and integrity

~ Provide insights on clinical issues during departmental meetings

~ Exhibit strong communication and listening skills

~ Achieve departmental objectives

~ Foster an environment of continuous improvement

~ Manage projects to ensure timely completion

~ Maintain effective communication with key departmental personnel

Position Requirements:

~ Registered Dietitian with maintained CDR and CEUs

~ Licensure in AL required upon hire

~ Membership in The American Dietetic Association preferred
