Job SummaryWe are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to work on our Cardiac Telemetry North Unit at Inova Fairfax Hospital's Heart and Vascular Institute. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in acute care and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to patients with cardiac conditions, including chronic and advanced heart failure, acute heart failure exacerbation, and pre- and post-heart and lung transplant.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes in their condition.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Participate in unit-based education and training programs to stay up-to-date on the latest cardiac care practices.
- At least one year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting.
- BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required.
- RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN.
- Accredited School of nursing.
- Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within five years of start date.
