UNC Health is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cardiac Sonographer to perform diagnostic medical sonography examinations in accordance with facility protocols. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as excellent customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare exam rooms and ultrasound equipment for sonography examinations
  • Conduct patient clinical assessments and perform diagnostic medical sonography examinations
  • Apply independent judgment during sonography examinations to ensure accurate anatomical, pathological, and clinical conditions are captured in examination images
  • Review examination images, synthesize examination results, and prepare preliminary reports for providers
  • Ensure reports are complete and accurate with all billing requirements
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Sonography, Radiology, or a related field within 3 months of hire
  • Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or registry eligible and become registered within one (1) year from date of hire
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology, as well as medical terminology
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a team environment
