At Acuity, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our cloud solutions team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cloud-based software applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cloud Application Development: Develop new and integrate existing customized applications and web services, including implementing and integrating storage, backend services, and front interface development (user and application interfaces - UI and API).
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Migrate tools, applications, and projects to a cloud environment, and work with SQL and other modern database technologies to create, customize, and maintain data storage for applications.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with our project management team, development partners, and customers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure that all cloud-based applications and infrastructure meet the highest security and compliance standards, including data protection and Client's security requirements.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience developing and implementing web applications and web services, using Ruby and Angular Rails for developing User Interface (U/I), and experience with MySQL and SOLR.
  • Skills: Demonstrated experience with SQL server, Linux and Windows Cloud Server management, cloud-native scripting languages, Splunk (for logs), cross-domain solutions, and AWS.
Preferred Skills
  • Cloud Security: Demonstrated experience with Client's security requirements, including data protection, and experience with security tools such as EC2, IDAM, Secrets Manager, or Health Check.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated experience with basic project management principles and experience with integrating customer applications using web services.
  • Cloud Migration: Demonstrated experience migrating an application to cloud services and experience with JAVA, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
  • AI/ML: Demonstrated experience with AI/ML methodologies and techniques.
Clearance Requirement
  • Active TS/SCI w/Poly: Must have an active TS/SCI with Poly clearance.
