As a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Your duties will include:

  • Performing scrub functions, including selecting and handling instruments and supplies used during procedures.
  • Providing circulating functions, including monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patients before, during, and after procedures.
  • Assisting operating physicians with surgical tasks, including hemostasis, suturing, and wound exposure, as well as patient positioning.
  • Preparing operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Advanced Life Support certification within 6 months of hire date.
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state where you will be working.

You will also need to have a diploma from an accredited school of nursing or equivalent professional licensure at the time of hire.
