Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our team at Windy Hill Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing clinical laboratory testing, maintaining equipment and records, and performing quality assurance activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform clinical laboratory testing pursuant to established and approved protocols, requiring the exercise of independent judgment and responsibility.
  • Maintain equipment and records, and perform quality assurance activities related to test performance.
  • Supervise and teach within the laboratory setting, and serve as a resource to the Pathologists.
  • Act as a technical resource to other techs, train techs in new procedures, and serve as a consultant and advisor to other Supervisors.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on key instruments, maintain up-to-date procedure manuals, and order supplies as needed.
  • Participate in a regular bench rotation in the blood bank, run automated blood bank instruments, and perform stat duties as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related science.
  • Med Tech ASCP Certification, Med Technologist (AMT) Certification, and Med Technologist (AAB) Certification.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Technologist, with 1 year of Blood Bank experience if applicable.
  • Computer/data entry experience, and ability to communicate with various members of the healthcare team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Epic and 3M experience.
