Johnson Service Group (JSG) is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist for a pivotal role within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage Internal Corrective and Preventative Action Requests (CAR/PAR).
- Conduct Internal Audits as part of the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Facilitate external laboratory analyses as required.
- Assist in addressing Supplier Corrective and Preventative Actions Requests from clients, including Failure Analysis Reports and Root Cause Analysis.
- Develop and maintain company-wide Metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Support company-wide audits conducted by external certifying bodies and clients.
- Create and revise Procurement General and Detail Specification Control Drawings (SCDs) for components used in product manufacturing.
- Perform Failure Analysis on returned merchandise and internal failures in collaboration with engineering teams.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 14001, DFARS, conflict minerals reporting, REACH & RoHS, providing necessary information to clients.
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 5+ years of relevant experience or 10+ years of equivalent experience.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills when interacting with Suppliers, Clients, and Team Members.
- Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project proficiently.
- Exhibit strong technical writing skills, capable of conveying complex topics clearly.
- Have experience in an AS9100 or ISO 9001 environment.
- Familiarity with QMS systems such as TIPQA or Agile is preferred.
- Knowledge of AS9102 First Article, FMEA, SPC, and MSA tools.
- Understand crystal oscillators or similar microelectronics.
- Experience with thermal and mechanical testing requirements for aerospace applications.
- Strong understanding of chip wire hybrid and/or PCB construction methods.
- Familiarity with analytical techniques such as microscopy, cross-section analysis, SEM/EDS, and thermal testing FTIR is advantageous.
- Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies and hypothesis testing tools is a plus.
- Show a passion for space exploration and related systems.
- Understand Microsoft SharePoint, PowerAutomate, and Forms.
